Lodging Description: The Hotel Montaña Monteverde is located in the north west of Costa Rica, in the Pacific province of Puntarenas at 4500 feet above the sea level ln the Tilaran Mountain Range.
Over 2000 plant species are native to the area, including a host of wild orchids. Also more than 315 species of birds and 100 species of mammals have been observed. Outstanding species are: Baird's Tapir, Jaguar, Ocelot, Resplandecent Quetzal, Black Guan, Three-wattled Bellbird and Bare necked Umbrellabird. Also giant pipers, strangler figs, road side Spanish Plag orchids and super abundant epiphytic vegetation.
