Law #10 - Severely curtail
carbohydrate
intake
after 7
pm
An exception to this
is if you work out in the evening, you should have
post-workout refined
carb
consumption (high on the
glycemic index) thirty
minutes
after your
workout
(or
even sooner than 30
minutes if
you didn't use
supplements
right after the
workout) even
if it is
after 7
pm.
Otherwise, carbohydrate
intake
should be
curtailed
after 7 pm
because
the body
becomes less
sensitive
to the
effects of insulin
towards the
end of the
day, such
that
it
is more
probable that the carbohydrate will be
stored as
fat. The best
bets
for your
late-night
meal "snack 5" is
either low fat
cottage cheese
or a
casein
protein shake, with a
little
bit of milk, as the
milk makes
it
taste much
better.
Another benefit of
keeping carbs low at bed time, and having exercised
that day, is that more
growth
hormone will be
released at
night when you're
sleeping.
This is
when
the
most growth hormone is
released in the body. The
best
way to
naturally increase
growth
hormone is to
lift
weights. Some
celebrities
take
growth
hormone to
try
to stay
looking young. If
you
lift
weights,
hold
back on
carbs at night, and
take
arginine and GABA before bed, you're
growth
hormone will be
naturally elevated. Growth
hormone
is a tremendous
aid in
fat
loss. More growth
hormone
released = more fat
loss. As
you age,
the
amount
of growth hormone
significantly
diminishes. So I
believe that
the more
growth
hormone that
you can release
through
weight training,
limiting
carbs before
bed,
etc.,
the longer you'll
look
young, and the
longer you'll
live.
